I’m an 18 year veteran of the real estate industry in the Northeastern Ohio market. I currently manage the Wadsworth, Ohio office of Cutler Real Estate a 14 office independently owned real estate services company.
I orignally started off as a salesperson in our family owned company, Merkle Realty Inc. at the age of 18 in 1988. Through some tough love mentoring from my father, Norman I was able to build a successful real estate career eventually moving up to Sales Manager of our company in 1994. In 2001, we merged our company with Cutler.
I’d like to use this blog to post some tips geared to the new agent to help start their career off on the right foot. Heaven knows, when I was a new agent I was desperate for information on how to start. Luckily, I was able to draw on my father’s experiences and growing up around the business for 18 years before I started listing and selling. I know a lot of new agents don’t have that!
